Amanda Albert

Amanda B. Albert is the new Director of the Jack C. Taylor Library. Amanda holds a BA in Religious Studies from Webster University and a MS in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University. She has experience as an assistant professor and instructional librarian at St. Louis University and as information literacy coordinator and instruction specialist at Washington University. Amanda has collaborated extensively with faculty on publications, presentations, and teaching and brings a wealth of technological expertise that will help guide the library into an educational landscape transformed by events of the last few years. Her current research interests include critical pedagogy, critical information literacy, and library assessment. She values teaching for social impact, identifying ways in which to center marginalized identities in pedagogy and courses.
