Time Management Tips

  • Fully understand your assignment before starting.
  • Create a schedule. Plan ahead and stick to your schedule! You can create your own assignment schedule through the University at Buffalo Libraries' Assignment Calculator.
  • Write an outline to follow after you have completed your preliminary background research and thesis statement.
  • Break your research and writing into smaller tasks. You won’t feel so overwhelmed!
  • Allow yourself enough time to request and receive the necessary sources (books, articles, etc.)
