Sodality: Reading for Change

June 2021

by Rebecca van Kniest on 2021-06-07T14:38:00-05:00 | 0 Comments

Our June entry is a reading from an older issue of the Association of American Colleges & Universities Diversity & Democracy that examines LGBTQ+ issues on campus. The questions it raises about opportunities and inclusion are still relevant today.

Discussion

  • What is Fontbonne doing to foster inclusion for different gender identities?
  • Can you identify positive changes you have seen that support LGBTQ+ culture and experiences?
  • What barriers surrounding gender and sexuality still exist on campus?
  • Where are the gaps? Are there specific programs or policies that still need to be addressed?
